COFFEE MORNING AT “THE GROVE” BARNBY DUN


Did you know that there is a COFFEE MORNING every Tuesday from 10.00am until 11.30am in the CHURCH HALL on The Grove in Barnby Dun, come along and enjoy a choice of coffees, tea with toasted teacakes, scones and various other cakes , there is also a book stall and bric-a-brac stall with a raffle etc., come and enjoy spending a pleasant morning in good company !!

You are invited to join us every Thursday at the Parish Hall from 1.30pm till 4.00pm and join an afternoon in like company for a chat and a game of dominoes or bingo and a cuppa – you will be made very welcome.

LOCAL POLICE COMMUNITY SUPPORT OFFICER

You will probably have seen our local officer as she walks around our village , and her presence over the time she has been here has made a difference in certain areas, particularly with inappropriate parking, anti-social behaviour etc. If you wish to speak with her over matters relative to her work she can be contacted by ringing 101 and ask for PCSO8215 (Jane Hamill)

You get the Dog Mess that is left all around our wonderful village, walked on by the friendly chatty people who walk it into our welcoming shops, public houses, club and bar, our lovely pleasant happy children walk it into their second to none school. The mess is all along our lovely enjoyable canal banks where we walk among flowers, trees overlooking the wildlife and ponds.

INTERESTED IN CHURCH BELL RINGING ??


The tower bell ringing band at Barnby Dun church are now recruiting new members, we are starting training sessions for anyone interested in learning to ring tower bells. Bell ringing is a friendly team activity and traditional skill,


which helps to keep you fit and stimulate the brain whilst making a glorious sound. The training sessions are on Friday evenings from 6pm to 7pm in the church bell tower. All ages welcome from 10 to 75 years provided you can climb the steps to the ringing chamber. For more details please contact :
