BARNBY DUN CRICKET CLUB – FOUNDED 1870
Our Cricket Club enjoyed its end of season presentation night in October, thanks to Carl and Alan Dykes for doing a great job with the race night part of the night, thank you to Sam Connick D.J.on the riggs, thanks to the Tea Ladies of the club (and Alan Decent) for putting on a great spread, thanks also to all raffle prize donators., everyone enjoyed themselves and nobody left hungry. Down to the Cricket :
First Team Batting Award was won by our captain Kieren Dinnage, The First Team Bowling Award was won by Tom Webster, Tom’s 40 wickets also won him the Division 2 league Bowler of the Year Award – Well done Tom, keep polishing that cherry.
The 1st Team Player’s Player of the Year this year is a much improved 18 year old – Suliman Ahmad.
The 2nd Team Batting Award was won by Zully Shah, while James Copley won the best Bowler of the Year Award, the 2nd Team Players Player of the year was Scott Dixon who had a great year with bat and bowl.
The Kev Bullars most improved Junior Cricketer of the Year was presented to Harry Brown who when asked to step up to the mark did so again and again, Well Done Harry. Thanks to Mandy and Brooke who presented the trophy.
The Barnby Dun Cricket Club, Club Person of the Year Trophy was presented this year to a family, 3 generations of the Decent Family were on hand to receive this trophy, Alan, Philip, Cindy, Hanna and Andrew all help B.D.C.C. in different ways. Playing, scoring, feeding, groundsmen etc. etc., thanks to you all, much deserved.

A Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you all, thanks once again for your great support.
On Friday 4th November B. Dun and K Sandal Sports Association had their 3rd successful Bonfire and Firework Night on our Community Sports Ground. Once again , as a Cricket Club it was great and very rewarding to help the other sporting groups to put on this event, hard work it was for all helpers. Over 2000 people came to our sports ground that night, George, Anton, Tohey, Chris & Dave our Sports Association Parish Council Members were great.
The B.D & K.S.S.A. has a website. and there are some great photo’s for anyone to look at.
